Now Everyone Can Retire

Few years back, during a conversation over lunch, I have a friend who briefly shared with me his strategy to retire. His strategy is simple.

First of all, buy a HDB flat from government and stay in that HDB flat during his 30 years of working life. Before he retires, he will buy a residential property in JB which he is going to spend the rest of his life. He plan to fully pay his HDB flat and JB property before he retires. Meanwhile, the whole HDB flat can be rented out. With the collected rent converted to Ringgit, he is able to live a comfortable life in JB. Historical trend depicts that SGD is getting stronger and stronger as time goes by. Thus, it is not surprised to get RM3 with SGD1 in 30 years time.

Of course he can come back to Singapore anytime he wants since it is pretty near. It is convenient to travel even if the person is not driving. Nowadays, there are buses that transport passengers between these two countries.

~~ Cheers! ~~

Branded Bag Cleaning Service

R ecently, my brother commented that my Prada bag looks like a dumpster bag and no one will steal it since people thought that it is not authentic. I have been using this bag for 6 years and I think I am used to the dirty sights, that's why I don't really mind the dirty issue. Few years back I have tried to wash it with soap powder but those black patches are still there, doesn't really help. I am aware that there are shops that offer bag cleaning service but they charged an exorbitant price. As a result, I have been putting aside the cleaning task for years. Two weeks ago, I finally decided to give it a try. So, I went down to the shop and asked for a quotation. To my little surprise, they quoted me S$140. After some bargain, I paid S$120 for the cleaning service. The shop is located in a mall and therefore they follow normal mall operation hours. The shop accepts credit cards or NETS. The cleaning service takes not more than 10 days. I received SMS before 10 days due ...

Why having more kids is tougher nowadays?

T oday, I went to a small coffee shop which need to share table with someone else most of the time for breakfast. Actually eating and drinking (I mean coffee/tea not beer) at coffee shop is what I like to do. I overhead an conversation within an uncle and another auntie with a baby who is her grandchild. This auntie is telling the uncle that children nowadays are very hyperactive resulting it is too tired to handle more kids. Kids in the older generation are less hyperactive and more obedient, it is pretty easy for taking care more kids at the same time. I remembered my parents able to take care 3 of us in the past. Of course 3 of us are quite easy to be taken care of. When I check with my parents if they are able to take care of my 2 young children, they said they are not able to handle 2 at the same time. I confess that my children are more difficult to handle compared to me and my siblings. So, the ratio became 2 super persons can only handle 1 young kid at a time.  Nonethe...
